Abbey's Baptism Day

On Saturday, July 31st 2010 Abbey was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by her dad. Her Grandpa Bezzant and Grandpa Christensen were the official witnesses of the baptism and Bryce conferred the Holy Ghost upon Abbey. It was such a great day for us! We had so many family members there to show their support. Abbey is a beautiful girl and is ever so sweet!

A few weeks before the baptism Abbey and I had the chance to go to a local park and snap a few photos of her in her baptism dress. She sparkled from head to toe and it was lots of fun. She didn't appreciate the hour of hair curling before we left but she felt like a princess once all of the work was done. I wish that I would have been able to also record the cute giggles she had as we took some of these photos.

Here is the photo of everyone that came... except for my friend Ali Echevarria. She was off talking to a neighbor of mine and didn't realize we were doing photos. We love that so many were willing to give up a Saturday morning to come be with us!

The men that stood in the confirmation circle for Abbey: Great Grandpa Jim Bezzant, Uncle Uncle Uncle Dustin Christensen, Uncle Issac Rands, Uncle Bo Porter, Uncle Deric Shelley, Bryce, Grandpa Tim Christensen, Grandpa Mark Bezzant, Great Uncle John Bezzant, Uncle Dave Bezzant & Uncle Kellen Hilton.

After the baptism everyone came over for lunch and a great time. Twister was given to Abbey that day as a birthday present and it was a party favorite! Lots of laughs filled our house while that game was being played.

Here are some sweet things that Abbey was blessed with during her confirmation:

*Remember this day

*Look back on this day and remember the feelings that she felt

*Her family loves her

*Be a good example to her brothers and family

*Recognize the promptings of the spirit

*Strength to follow the promptings of the spirit and help others

We love you to death Abbey! I get all teary just thinking about how much she has grown up already and how proud I am for all of the good choices she makes daily. You are oh so sweet Abbey!!!
