I saw this link on my friend Angi's blog a while back and it totally inspired me and gave me a greater sense of self worth thinking about the talents that Heavenly Father has created me with. I tend to down play anything that I feel might be a strength or talent but after watching this I know I shouldn't be embarrassed about talents I am blessed with. It also gave me inspiration and validation on things that I like to do and "create."
Now- here is an assignment for all of YOU... all of you! Bloggers or not. Please comment and share at least one thing that you have created. Help inspire each of us with the talents you have been given!
I will start:
*I am blessed with the talent to organize things and create order from clutter
*I like to create beauty outside with flowers, plants, etc... Still working on this one but at the moment my plants are still alive!
*I do like to do artwork. I really enjoyed doings grayscale pictures w/ pencil and hope to one day have time to work on that again.
*I love to create "treats" (cookies, brownies, cakes, all sorts of tasty things to eat). When I mean "create" though- I follow somebody's recipe... but to me it is still a creation! :)
PLEASE share some of your talents! It will make my day!!!
Landen Finally Getting the "Christmas Spirit"
We finally got Landen to open one present and we had to partially open it for him to even take notice of it. He loves to play with balls and has pretty good aim with them!
Abbey Takes After Her Dad!
Abbey loves to do math and play on the computer so she hoped that Santa would bring her a laptop just like her friend, Madalyn Isom. It is a toy one but just as fun as the real thing.. at least for now! She also got an easy bake oven and surprisingly has only used it once!

Braxton loves to "play" the guitar. He also loved his nerf gun (but not as much as his dad loved shooting him with it!)

Santa's little singer! When they did the performance to sing Santa in a few days before this concert she didn't want to wear the santa hat cause it would have messed up her hair! Where did she get that one from???? Not her mom!
Clip Those Curls
We finally broke down and got Landen another haircut. It was sad to have him say "ouch" when it was time to get his hair done cause it was ratted with snarls from sleeping. We still kept it longer and he still has some curls. It is time again for another haircut though!

Abbey works so carefully to make each cookie look just right. Watch out world... she has an easy bake oven now!
Superman Loves Sprinkles!
He had his fingers in about everything and in this picture he is showing me the sprinkles in his mouth. Don't worry- we didn't give anyone any of these cookies!
Braxton's Pride and Joy!
He is a boy after my own heart! I kept eyeing over that cookie the following few days and he didn't want anyone to eat it cause he loved that cookie so much. The frosting was at least 2 inches thick on his cookie!
Who's Idea Was This?
I got a little ambitious when Bryce was working late one night and thought it would be fun to make Christmas sugar cookies for Family Night. The kids had a BLAST and it was worth the mess. Landen ended up with frosting from head to toe and I had a shred of patience left by the time we got out of the tub and in bed.

Since they worked so hard to rake them up we let them have a little fun!

We took a quick snapshot and were glad that nobody was crying. Braxton had a hard time looking at the camera cause he just wanted to find snakes in the snake river.

Witch's Hayride
Bryce came up to Gardner Village after work to join in on the fun. Here is a picture of them with the witch on the hayride. Notice Bryce's dirty pants... he had to save a lady that fell off the wagon when she was stepping down after the ride was over! What a hero!!!!

Though provoking post, Aimee. I appreciate the challenge. I generally don't think I have many talents. I can't sing or play any instrument well enough to let any other human being hear me. I am not athletic. I can't dance to save myself.
I can create many things with graphics. Some people pay me to do those things.
I can write stories and use words well.
I see good in others.
Why is that so hard for me?
Well Amie thanks for this challenge. I would have to say that my talents are listing to others and being able to use my or others lives stories to help them change there lives for the better and have them know that someone whent throught something similuar that they went through and how they turned out. I also like to write childrends stoires and hope one day that I will get them pupblished. I also feel that my singing (if I use the spirit) will change peoples lives. I would have to agree with your sister that you are talented and I like that I can call and chat with you at anytime and you will listen to me.
I have to say that you downplayed your talents. I have to say that one talent that sticks out with me most is kindness.
Me, I don't think about that much, but I have to say I love to cook (really bake), and it is edible most of the time :)
Celeste makes AWESOME homemade bread for sure! She is also REALLY patient with her kids, good at home decorating and is great sticking to her budget.
